Eva Gardner Session Musician
Bassist Eva Gardner was born and raised in Los Angeles. Influenced by her father, legendary British bass player Kim Gardner, Eva finally picked up the instrument at 14 and attended Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. She later went on to UCLA, earning a degree in Ethnomusicology. Within a year of graduating college, she reached her lifelong goal of going on tour. She began her professional career as the first bassist in the Mars Volta in 2001. By 2007 she was working as the touring bassist for Pink, and she continues to work with her to this day. She has also worked with Cher, Gwen Stefani, Tegan and Sara, Moby and Veruca Salt.
Eva met Jason Wall working as a bass instructor at Soundwall Music Camp in the early 2000’s. As soon as Future Youth Records began its work with Mission Girl Services, Gardner became involved.
“It was really rewarding for me to see how music could make a positive impact for these girls,” Gardner says. “It is a very special experience for everyone involved. Anytime Jason calls and I’m available, I’m there.”
