Music Through the Scope of Disability
A New Vision for Music, Led by Disabled Voices
Future Youth Records is proud to partner with singer-songwriter and disability advocate Spencer Hart-Thompson to launch Music Through the Scope of Disability—a campaign dedicated to reimagining what equity, access, and creativity look like in the music industry.
This initiative centers disabled voices across every stage of the creative process—from songwriting and production to performance, storytelling, and mentorship. It’s not just a campaign—it’s a movement.
Why This Matters
Disabled artists face systemic barriers—physical, financial, and social—that limit access to resources and recognition. This project seeks to break those barriers by investing in infrastructure, visibility, and community.
With Your Support, We’ll Fund:
A full-length studio album featuring 8 original and 3 deluxe tracks
A live-recorded performance during CRPS Awareness Month in November
A short-form documentary amplifying the stories behind the music
Accessible campaign tools (captioning, ASL, alt text, transportation, etc.)
The Co-Creative Collective, a space for mentorship and collaboration among disabled artists.
This work is powered by FYR’s mission to amplify youth-led social change through music. We believe in building a music industry where everyone—regardless of ability—has access to create, perform, and lead.
