(Voices for Inspiring and Nurturing Youth Leadership)

Through inspiring a shared vision of the power of music to shape youths’ lives, Future Youth Records is rallying community support and empowering teams of professional musicians and Bay Area at-risk youth to re-shape popular forms of music to include positive images and messages.  To achieve this, we provide local youth agencies with a high impact program and communities with high visibility media campaigns.

We are the women...

Written by 4 young women ages 10-15 years old from San Francisco's Mission District to counteract the alarming epidemic of female degradation happening in today's music industry.  Under the direction of Future Youth Records Founder/Executive Director Jason Wall, co-producer Willie Samuels,  and assistance from Mission Girl Alejandra Rodriguez, "We Are The Women..." was written and recorded over four days.

50 Fund Playmaker

The 47th 50 Fund Playmaker is the Mission Neighborhood Center, whose mission is to deliver culturally sensitive, multi-generational, community-based services focused on low-income families.   The Playmaker grant was used to help The Mission Girls design, write, and prepare for a WE ARE THE WOMEN workshop to be delivered to local high school youth ages 13-17.
